The strong friendship and cooperation between Israel and Cyprus and between their peoples are vital pillars of stability, security and hope in our region, said the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog.
In his post on "X" after his short visit to Cyprus yesterday afternoon and his meeting with the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, Mr. Hetzog thanked President Christodoulidis for "your steadfast friendship and the warm and productive discussion we had."
He added that they discussed "the issue of highest priority—the return of hostages brutally held by Hamas in Gaza—as well as the latest regional challenges and humanitarian efforts in Gaza."
The strong friendship and cooperation between Israel and Cyprus, he continued, “as well as between our two peoples, are vital pillars of stability, security and hope in our region. I deeply value our partnership and look forward to continuing to work together for a brighter future," he added.
