D. Dimitriou: Requests an investigation into the financing of AKEL by the Russian lobby for Crimea

DISY MP Dimitris Dimitriou sent a letter to the President of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority requesting an investigation into an OCCRP publication according to which a Russian lobby financed parties in European countries, including AKEL, to promote resolutions in their parliaments on the matter of Crimea.

Specifically in his post on Facebook, Mr. Dimitriou states "This morning I had a meeting with the President of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority, Mr. Haris Pogiatzis, where I asked him, through the letter below, to further investigate the OCCRP publication according to with which a Russian lobby financed parties in European countries to promote resolutions in their parliaments on the issue of Crimea. Among the countries mentioned in the publication is Cyprus, where there is talk of AKEL involvement.
