He notes that the land or part of it seems to have belonged to President Anastasiadis until December 2016, as reported in Pothen Esches.
Ask who owned the land in which the investment is made, if members of the Anastasiadis family have a share and if it was sold by whom to whom.
He also asks how the private investor knew he would have the permits, despite the serious environmental impact that this investment would have.
In statements on the same subject, the President of the Movement of Ecologists-Citizens' Cooperation George Perdikis stressed that the Ecologists are not interested in who is involved, as long as whoever is involved is not one of those who will ultimately make the decision for the project.
We are particularly concerned about the information, he added, that part of this area belonged, or belongs to President Anastasiadis and therefore we are concerned that the judgment of the licensing authorities may be affected by any involvement of the President.
It is our duty, concluded Mr. Perdikis, to be the first to react and to be particularly sensitive, because this is a project that will bring about a huge environmental disaster.
The Deputy Government Spokesman Viktoras Papadopoulos answered the President of the Ecologists' Movement. He stated that the only one who has no limits in "populism and downhill for pre-election expediencies is the President of the Movement of Ecologists Mr. George Perdikis," he states in a written response to
"As for whether the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis is an outgoing President, this will not be decided by Mr. Perdikis and the family rule that prevails in the leadership of the Ecologists, but only by the sovereign Cypriot people," he added. For all the other things mentioned by the Ecologists' Movement for the management of the Cyprus problem by President Anastasiadis, the citizens know and have a crisis, he added.
