The President of the Democratic Rally, Ms. Annita Dimitriou, welcomed retired Brigadier General Mr. Paris Markou to the Party's offices, to whom she proposed that he be an Aristide candidate in the Famagusta District.
In her statement, the DISY President emphasized that Mr. Markou is a man who served the country with ethics and consistency, both through his work and his personal example. "His path is living proof that responsibility towards the country never ends. Today he takes a new step and declares his presence, ready to offer, support and fight for everything that the citizens of this country deserve," she said, among other things.
For his part, Mr. Markou thanked the President of DISY for the honorary proposal, which – as he said – he accepts with a deep sense of responsibility. He also emphasized that the trust and support he receives from citizens strengthen his determination to contribute actively.
