Health Minister Michalis Damianos, in a post on X, calls for the two bills for the patient advocate and for strengthening the supervision of the General Health Insurance System to be voted on Thursday by the Plenary Session of the Parliament.
"On the occasion of tomorrow's debate in the Plenary Session of the Parliament, I call on MPs to support and vote on the two important bills concerning the Patient Ombudsman and the amendment to the General Health System Law, which concerns the strengthening of the Supervision of the General Health System by the Ministry of Health," he says.
According to the Minister, the Patient Ombudsman, one of the most important bills he submitted to Parliament as Minister of Health, responds to a long-standing request from patients and will strengthen the protection and enforcement of their rights.
"I am confident that their passage will be a decisive step in upgrading health services in our country," he says.
