The head of the Republican Turkish Party (RTK), Tufan Erhiurman, in his post on social media, said that the first impression is that the "Famagusta" series that will be shown by "Netflix" is a "propaganda" series and he wished to attention was also paid to a work by a Turkish director, who, as he says, "approaches the 'subject' not with the language of propaganda, but with the language of modern cinema".
According to "Yeni Duzen", in a post on social media, Mr. Erhiurman pointed out: "Famagusta. Is this a propaganda movie/series? The first impression shows this. If true, unfortunately it seems that she has already fulfilled a significant part of her mission!"
"I wish half of the 'attention' that (the series) is gathering, had been given to 'Shadows and Images' by the internationally renowned Turkish Cypriot director Dervis Zaim, who approaches the 'issue' not with the language of propaganda, but with language of modern cinema", says Mr. Erhiurman in his message.
He adds that "propaganda is answered with propaganda, but art answers propaganda in a much more substantial way."
