As he states in a post on his personal account on Social Media, "with the sole purpose of contributing, with my experiences and knowledge, to this collective effort that aims to give new dynamics to the party, I am putting before you my candidacy for the position of Vice President".

March 11, with the election of Annita Dimitriou to the Presidency of the Democratic Alarm, marks a new page in the history of the faction.
A page that we must write with unity and a sense of responsibility, aiming to continue the leading course recorded by the Democratic Alarm since its foundation, contributing over time to the progress and well-being of citizens and our country.
We are called, today as never before, in the midst of a renewal process, to guard and strengthen this course of high offer of the faction in the place.
With the sole purpose of contributing, with my experiences and knowledge, to this collective effort that aims to give new dynamics to the party, I am putting before you my candidacy for the position of Vice President.
Advancing the legacy of Glaukos Clerides, the principles and values upon which our proud faction was founded, I am ready to work hard with all of you for the required reconstruction and renewal.
My academic studies, the knowledge and experiences I gained by serving with dedication the Democratic Alarm, in various positions starting from NEDISY and then in EMU, as a member of the executive and political office next to Averof Neophytou, as a municipal councilor and as President of KOAG, but also in the successful governance of Nikos Anastasiadis, as Government Spokesperson, are the strong guarantees for me to be able to contribute positively to the new era of the faction.
Issues such as, for example, the Cyprus issue and immigration, the complexity of managing the economy and the implementation of the "Cyprus Tomorrow" Plan require us to be at the forefront to contribute in order to further strengthen the so far substantial contribution of the Democratic Alarm in the management of the challenges that our country is once again facing.
