With a short video on social media, MEP Phidias Panayiotou announced the establishment of a party called Direct Democracy.
The MEP had been preparing his followers for days for the big announcement.
As he says, this is the most important announcement of his life. He said that "In order to achieve the change we want, we must gain power in Parliament."
