The extraordinary meeting between the President of the Republic and the Auditor General regarding the issues that arose with the appointments was concluded.

In his statements to journalists, the Auditor General said that the President requested that they have a meeting.

As he said, the President of the Republic expressed his desire to immediately draw up a bill for advisers that will be immediately forwarded to the Parliament and will be similar to what applies to parliamentary collaborators, while he expressed his desire to proceed from now on to check whether all collaborators meet the criteria and if it is found that any one does not satisfy the criteria then there will be the termination of any such contract.

In relation to the issue of Doxa Komodromou, the Auditor General said "I saw the letter from the EDY and the secondment to the Presidency has been approved, so the matter is resolved in a manner acceptable to us because the President expressed the position that Ms. Komodromou's salary it will be the one she has at the University".

Regarding Mrs. Rauna, she mentioned that there was a suggestion by the President that the position of the Presidency Commissioner is already in the budget, which is vacant. There is no reason why the President should not appoint her to this position. Regarding the matter of the 19-year-old, Mr. Michaelidis explained that "the matter is closed because that service has been terminated and with the new position of the President it would be terminated anyway because it would not satisfy the criteria".

"So, I believe we have found solutions to all issues. The recommendations of our service seem to be listened to and we welcome as a service the fact that there is a will on the part of the President of the Republic", he concluded.
