The Special National Center Plan for the reception and repatriation of citizens of third countries, through the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, has been fully implemented, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letympiotis announced through the "X" platform.
According to the Spokesperson, the Republic of Cyprus was at a high level of preparedness and now the Estia project was activated on Tuesday night by the Ministerial Crisis Management Team.
"So far no requests have been made to start large-scale evacuation operations. At the same time, coordination has already begun by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist the transfer of limited personnel and citizens from some countries through Cyprus", he says.
The Spokesperson emphasizes that the situation is being monitored as it develops with full readiness to support civilian evacuation operations depending on the developments, especially in case the operation of open departure structures in affected countries is affected.
