The allegations, which refer to the involvement of Cyprus either in operations or in providing facilities in Israel's conflict with Gaza, are completely unfounded, the Government Spokesperson repeated.
Speaking to the third, Konstantinos Letymiotis pointed out that Cyprus has never provided, nor will it provide facilities for any aggressive action against any country.
He also referred to the statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kobos, before the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels that Cyprus was never part of the crisis, but, as is internationally accepted, is part of the solution.
He also noted that there was communication between the President of the Republic and the Minister of Foreign Affairs with Lebanese officials, who in their statements confirm the close relationship between the two countries.
Asked about the Cyprus issue, Mr. Letymiotis said that what is imminent is the submission of Mrs. Holgin's report to the Secretary General.
Asked to refer to separate meetings of his envoy Antonio Guterres with the President of the Republic and the Turkish Cypriot leader abroad, he stated that there is nothing newer or any relevant information.
