The president of DIKO, Nikolas Papadopoulos, made a statement regarding the appointment of the 19-year-old student to the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
Specifically, he states that, "I am the first to recognize the mistakes of the Government of Nikos Christodoulidis and the appointment of the 19-year-old councilor was indeed a mistake," the president of the Democratic Party said in a post.
He also notes that, "criticism is welcome. But that the traditional political system indulged in exterminating cannibalism against a 19-year-old student is also unacceptable. She could have been the daughter of any of us. There must always be moderation in criticism."
