Petros Dimitriou was born on April 18 1985 in Larnaca, while since 1989 he has lived in Limassol. His parents are Filippos Dimitriou and Anna Kostrikki. His brothers Constantine and Florence.
He graduated from the Lyceum of Agios Nikolaos (Department of Sciences), of which he was also the President (Central Student Council) in the school year 2003-2004.
In July 2012 he graduated from Department of Political Science of the University of Cyprus, while in July 2016 he holds a Master's degree in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Cyprus.
During his student years he served the Cypriot Student Leadership of the University of Cyprus, of which he was also the President in the academic year 2008-2009. He was a student representative, an elected member of the Student Union of the University of Cyprus and a member of the Senate and the University Council.
In July 2012 he was elected Chairman of the Executive Committee of FPK PROTOPORIA, a position he held until August 2014. During the academic years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 he participated in the Pancyprian Federation of Student Unions, of which he was also Vice President.
In November 2014 he took over the Presidency of NEDISY, for the additional term November 2014-August 2015.
At the election conference of 8th August 2015 took over Presidency of NEDISY for the two years 2015-2017.
He belongs to his founding team Startups Academy. Since May 2015 he belongs to the organizing team of the academy.
From December 2015 until today he actively participates in Cyprus Initiative We can, in which E / K and T / C youth organizations participate.
From 2014 until today it belongs to Board of Directors of the Cyprus Youth Organization (ONEK).
From 2016 until today he is its executive director Privilege EducationsCenter.
From 2014 until today he participates in the Executive Office of the Democratic Alarm.
He is married to Alexia Nikolaou, from Limassol, while they recently had their first child.
