Today, Tuesday, June 25, the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Konstantinos Ioannou, visited the offices of the newly established District Council of Famagusta.
This was followed by a meeting with the participation of the temporary administration, the new president Mr. Yiannis Karousos, the mayors of Paralimni-Derynia Mr. Nicoletou and Mr. Zanetou of Agia Napa.
Among the topics discussed was the degree of readiness of the Organization which starts in a few days as well as other coordination issues between the Organization-Municipalities and the public.
In their statements, the Minister of the Interior and the President of the Council, Mr. Karousos, stated that a lot of preparation and serious work has been done so that from July 1 the Organization will operate productively and efficiently.
All preparations are at a completely satisfactory level and the
transition is expected to be without problems.
