With good will and in the hope that there will be a response to what was agreed with the UN Secretary-General, in Geneva, the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, is going to his meeting with the Turkish Cypriot leader.
In statements to journalists today, departing from the Presidential Palace, to go to the old Nicosia airport which is the venue for his meeting with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mr. Ersin Tatar, in the presence of the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative in Cyprus, Mr. Colin Stewart, and asked if he was optimistic about the outcome of the meeting, President Christodoulides said that "I am going with data that, if there is a response from the other side, I am certainly optimistic. We will see.
I am going with good will, based on what we agreed with the UN Secretary General, and I hope there will be a response."
