Any leader who has clean hands must be sober, said President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, answering questions from journalists in Limassol, regarding the video that leaked last week.
The President stated that the resignation of the Director of his Office, Charalambos Charalambous, is an act of self-confidence and trust.
In relation to the Independent Social Support Agency, he said that his first thought is the complete abolition of the Agency without leaving students unprotected.
There is absolutely no problem with the publication of donors based on the relevant legislation, he said.
Saying that he neither underestimates nor downplays the case, which he approaches with absolute seriousness, he noted that he calls on the competent state authorities to utilize all the tools at their disposal to fully investigate the case, and added that there is also help from foreign states and the EU.
