The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, today expressed condolences on behalf of the State to the families of those who lost their lives last week during the bad weather and in the shipwreck in Kyrenia.
Addressing the members of the Council of Ministers, at the beginning of the session of the House, at the Presidential Palace, the President of the Republic said that "I want to make a report on the previous week when we witnessed two tragic events. One in free Famagusta with the unjust loss of one of our compatriots and in occupied Kyrenia with the tragedy, the shipwreck with many deaths. In human tragedies, in human losses, the pain is the same and I would like today, before we begin, to express on behalf of the State, on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus, my warmest condolences to the families, to the relatives" of those who lost their lives.
