The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, will today listen to the proposals of trade unions and social groups, as part of the preparation of a new package of measures to relieve households from punctuality.
The general meeting will take place at 17:00 at the Presidential Palace. This is the first move in the context of this effort, while on Wednesday the Minister of Economy Makis Keravnos will meet with the collaborating parties, in order to listen to their own suggestions.
"In the next period, the Government will study all the proposals in order to formulate a package of measures to relieve households from punctuality", government sources told the Cyprus News Agency yesterday, noting that all opinions are recorded more broadly, including those of the opposition parties "with the basic criterion being the fiscal capacity of the state".
As announced, today's meeting will be attended by the organizations PEO, SEC, PASYDY, DEOK, OELMEK, OLTEK, POED, Pan-Cypriot Organization of Multiple Children, Pan-Cypriot Organization of Five-Member Families, Cyprus Consumers' Association, Pan-Cyprus Union of Consumers and Quality of Life, Pan-Cypriot Union of Pensioners and Pan-Cypriot Committee Pensioners of SEK.
