The former President of the Republic of Cyprus, George Vassiliou, is hospitalized in serious condition at the Nicosia General Hospital.
Speaking to CNA, OKYpY Press Spokesperson, Charalambos Charilaou, stated that the former President has been hospitalized since January 6, 2026 at the Nicosia General Hospital and is receiving all appropriate medical care.
According to the treating doctors, Mr. Charilaou said, his condition is "considered serious."
George Vassiliou served as President of the Republic of Cyprus from 1988 to 1993.
