Due to the insistence of the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides on "transit", in his words, passages, the issue of the roadblocks has not been resolved so far, stated the Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, describing tomorrow's meeting of the two negotiators Gunes Onar and Menelaos Menelaos as very important.

As reported in the occupied territories, the Turkish Cypriot leader was speaking at the event for the presentation of the five-year development program, in the presence of Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz.

Mr. Tatar said that efforts are being made to find common ground on the issue of roadblocks, recalling that in the meeting with the President of the Republic, he proposed the opening of two roadblocks at Mia Milia and Louroudzina.

Referring to the 4th five-year development plan, Ersin Tatar said that it will strengthen the pseudo-state's struggle for independence.

There are requests for continued investments in various sectors, he added, saying that their goal is to leave the "country" strong for future generations.

Despite the fact, the currency crisis, the pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine war and the devastating earthquake, he continued, the pseudo-state may be an unrecognized country, but it has developed thanks to Turkey's support. "I would like to thank Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who helps us in every way and has not refused any help for the development of the TRNC," he said.

They sent the message to other states in the world, he said, that "they exist, they can stand on their own two feet."
