The President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulidis traveled to New York from London to participate in the informal dinner with the Turkish leader Ersin Tatar, in the presence of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
The dinner is scheduled for 19.00 pm New York time (2.00 am Wednesday Cyprus time).
The informal dinner will take place at the UN headquarters.
Yesterday in statements to the media, after his forty-minute meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, he said that he is going to New York to do everything possible to achieve a positive result.
"For us, a positive result cannot be anything other than the resumption of meaningful talks to resolve the Cyprus problem," he said.
