The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, will have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is traveling to Athens after his visit to the USA, where he met on Wednesday with the American President, Joe Biden.
Christodoulidis and Mitsotakis are expected to discuss the results of the meeting between the Presidents of Cyprus and the USA and coordinate, in the light of the expected developments in the Cyprus issue, after the informal dinner in New York. President Christodoulidis and Mr. Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation on Tuesday morning, with Government Spokesman Constantinos Letympiotis stating, in a post, to X that "the Cyprus-Greece coordination remains constant and close".
The meeting of President Christodoulidis with Prime Minister Mitsotakis will take place at 1600 at Megaros Maximos.
As it has also been announced, on Friday, November 1, the President of the Republic will travel to Thessaloniki, where at noon he will inaugurate the preserved bust of the hero Kyriakos Matsis, at the Aristotle University.
In the afternoon, he will go to the Macedonian Studies Society (EMS), where he will speak at the EMS event in memory of the victims of the Cyprus tragedy, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion.
Afterwards, President Christodoulidis will announce the opening of the Conference organized by the Diocese of Kalamaria, the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi and the Region of Central Macedonia, entitled "Cyprus and Romiosiny", which will be held at the University.
On November 2, the President of the Republic will return to Athens, where he will go to the Cultural Conference Center of the Municipality of Ellinikos - Argyroupoli "Mikis Theodorakis", to announce the opening of the event of the Municipality and the Union of Pontians of Argyroupoli, entitled "Ambassadors of Pontic Hellenism"
At the event, the President of the Republic will be declared the Ambassador of Pontic Hellenism for 2024.
After the event, President Christodoulidis will depart for Cyprus.
