On the sidelines of the European Council in Brussels later this week, the President of the Republic is expected to have a meeting with the personal envoy of the UN Secretary-General, Maria Angela Holguin Queillar, the Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, told KYPE.
Asked by the KYPE, Mr. Letympiotis said that there is planning to hold a meeting between Mrs. Holgin and the President, Nikos Christodoulidis, on the sidelines of the European Council in Brussels. He noted that there is still nothing definitive and that the meeting is expected to take place either on Thursday or Friday, which are also the days when the European Council will take place.
Besides, as sources at KYPE reported, Mrs. Holgin is expected to meet next week in London with the leader of the Turkish Cypriots, Ersin Tatar.
