I am leaving today for Israel for a visit aimed at further strengthening Cyprus' relations with the neighboring country.
Israel is a strong regional power and an important strategic partner for Cyprus.
I attach great importance to cooperation with Israel, especially on energy and security issues. Topics that I will have the opportunity to develop in my meetings with the President of the country Mr. Isaac Herzok, Ministers, former Ministers, officials as well as the former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
At the same time, I will have the opportunity during my visit to meet with the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos, a prominent figure of Christianity.
