President Nikos Christodoulidis is going to Cairo today for the 10th Cyprus-Greece-Egypt Tripartite Summit and the 2nd Cyprus-Egypt Intergovernmental Summit.
According to yesterday's statements by the Government Spokesman, Constantinos Letymiotis, within the framework of the Tripartite Meeting, Memorandums of Cooperation are expected to be signed, among others in the fields of Health Care, Port Development, Information Technology and Communications and the Strengthening of Investment Relations, "which will strengthen further the joint actions and will lay solid foundations for its future development of this tripartite relationship".
Before the Tripartite Summit, the 2nd Cyprus-Egypt Intergovernmental Summit will take place, with the aim of consolidating and institutionalizing the regular Intergovernmental Summits, which will take place alternately in the two countries.
In this context, according to the Representative, "the possibilities for joint investment projects in the fields of infrastructure, trade, technology, innovation and tourism will be discussed, while actions towards closer energy cooperation will be examined".
During the Meeting, a number of MoUs will also be signed in areas of common interest, such as the field of Education, Information and Communication Technology, Women's Empowerment, Water Management and Aquaculture Development, he said.
The three leaders are expected to make statements at 14.30:XNUMX p.m.
It is noted that the President of the Republic is accompanied by a delegation which includes, among others, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, the Deputy Minister of European Affairs, the National Security Advisor, the Director of the Diplomatic Office of President and officials.
On the sidelines of the work of the Intergovernmental and Trilateral Summit, a business forum will be held with the participation of representatives of the business world from the three countries.
Syria at the center of the tripartite in Cairo, say Greek government sources
