The Ministry of Justice and Public Order will hold a meeting on the bill that attempts to regulate the issue of sending and posting text with a false, grossly offensive, obscene, obscene or threatening nature, today Thursday, according to information from KYPE.
As the KYPE is informed, the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Marios Hartsiotis, will also be present at the meeting.
Besides, the Ministry, in its announcement last week, regarding publications both in the press and on social media in relation to the bill, stated that, listening to the concerns of the bodies involved and others, it had already planned for days, before the specific posts see the light of day, a broad meeting at the Ministry for the purpose of discussing and re-evaluating the content of the bill entitled "The Criminal Code (Amendment) (No. 3) Law of 2021".
At the meeting, in addition to the participation of the Officials of the Ministry, representatives of the Legal Service of the Republic, the All Cyprus Bar Association and the wider bodies of the journalistic world were invited to attend, it is reported.
