In the next five years, he will work with his colleagues hard and decisively and cooperate with his colleagues for a better Europe, says the European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Kostas Kadis, whose appointment was endorsed by the Plenary of the European Parliament (EP) on Wednesday in Strasbourg.
"Today's approval of the European Commission 2024-2029 by the European Parliament is an important milestone in the effort to address the major challenges facing the European Union", notes Mr. Kadis, adding that "in this context I take on the duties of the European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans with great joy and honor".
Kostas Kadis points out that in the next five years he will work with his partners "hard and decisively" for the support and well-being of Europe's coastal communities and fishermen, as well as for the protection and sustainable management of the oceans at a European and global level.
"As a member of the College of Commissioners I will work closely with my colleagues for a better Europe, for the well-being and progress of European citizens", concludes Mr. Someone.
