The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its recommendation to the Cypriots

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the deteriorating situation in Lebanon and notes that the security situation in the country may deteriorate further without warning.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs therefore reiterates its recommendation to Cypriot citizens to avoid all travel to Lebanon, and those wishing to depart Lebanon are strongly encouraged to take advantage of available commercial flights.

In addition, Cypriot citizens in Lebanon are advised to avoid all gatherings and demonstrations, remain vigilant and follow the instructions of the local Authorities. It is also recommended, as they closely monitor developments and information from the international and local media, to avoid unnecessary movements and to apply maximum security measures.
