The General Superintendent of Elections announced today the ban on throwing leaflets and writing slogans on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May 2026, the eve and day of voting for the Parliamentary Elections.
In a statement, the General Superintendent of Elections clarifies that, according to current electoral legislation, it is prohibited to drop leaflets, hang banners, stick signs on walls and write slogans regarding the Elections.
As noted, violators will be prosecuted and, if convicted, are subject to a prison sentence of up to one year or a fine of up to €5.000 or both.
