He notes that the increase in youth violence is unfortunately a global reality as it is inextricably linked to wider violence in the community.

The Ministry of the Interior also assures that all necessary measures are taken following specific protocols, actions, prevention programs and targeted interventions at all levels of education to manage this serious phenomenon.

"In recent years, school programs have been implemented on a systematic basis and cover topics such as empathy, communication, conflict resolution, prevention of bullying behavior, emotional needs, adolescence, either in the form of holistic programs, preventive/interventional actions and/or experiential workshops . At the same time, teachers and parents/guardians receive systematic trainings with similar themes, also on a systematic basis", he adds.

He also mentions that the school is a protective factor from a series of other factors, individual, family, social.

"The support and active involvement of all the basic institutions of society can create the necessary conditions to deal with this serious multifactorial phenomenon", concludes the Ministry of Education, in its announcement.
