A tripartite cooperation protocol on dispersal issues was signed

A new page in the relations between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt was opened today with the signing of the cooperation protocol on issues of diaspora, under the chapter "Nostos the return".

The Protocol was co-signed by the Presidency Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Overseas Affairs, Fotis Fotiou, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Terence Quick, and the Minister of Immigration and Expatriate of Egypt, Nabila Abdel Siahid.

The culmination of the cooperation will be a joint statement next March in Alexandria, Egypt, where Greeks in the Diaspora, who were either born or are the children and grandchildren of Greeks in Egypt, will have the opportunity to see again the neighborhoods where they grew up, their parents and their grandparents.
The next tripartite on issues of dispersion will take place in Athens, in order to examine the details of the event in Alexandria.
