In a post on social media, lawyer from Sotira, Zafiro Kastanou, announced her withdrawal from the Ayia Napa School Board and from the Democratic Rally, while also announcing her candidacy in the upcoming parliamentary elections for the Famagusta district with ELAM.
Panagiota Katsoni from Liopetri, who was also a candidate in the previous elections for the Ayia Napa School Ephorate with DISY, is taking over her position in the Ayia Napa School Ephorate.
As Zafiro Kastanou stated, after her departure from the Democratic Alarm, she carefully evaluated the facts and came to a decision that reflects her principles and political conscience. “My ideology and positions for the future of our country lead me today to join the National Popular Front with which we embrace common values and goals.” She also mentioned the reasons for her departure from the Ayia Napa School Board.
