The results of migration management are positive, as evidenced by the reduction in the number of arrivals of irregular migrants and the increase in returns in 2024.
As Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou stated on the Morning Schedule, a much better job is now being done in managing the problem.
Referring specifically to the returns section, Mr. Ioannou said that they increased to twelve thousand in 2024, from seven thousand-seven hundred in 2022.
The Minister of Interior also noted that since last May, the arrivals of irregular migrants by sea have been zero.
