Residents and visitors of Protaras had the opportunity to experience a special experience, as they gathered at the First Sunrise Viewpoint on the Protaras coastal promenade, to welcome together the first sunrise in Europe, against the backdrop of the unique coastal landscape of the Protaras Riviera.
The event of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia combined the unique image of the sunrise with music and a free Pilates program, offering attendees a different way to start their day, next to the sea and in the natural environment of the area.
The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia thanked everyone who responded to the call and were at the scene early, highlighting the importance of highlighting the special identity of the area and the authentic experiences that the Protaras Riviera can offer.
"It is special to welcome the first sunrise in Europe together, in one of the most beautiful spots on the Protaras Riviera. We warmly thank everyone who shared this moment with us and we hope to enjoy the sunrise every day from the most beautiful beachfront in Cyprus," he said.
The action is part of the general effort of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia to highlight the Protaras Riviera through experiences that connect the natural landscape, well-being and lifestyle of the area, while highlighting one of its most special characteristics: the ability to be the first to welcome the light of the new day.
