When Cypriots say "let's go for a coffee", it is likely that the coffee they will drink will be frappe, which is probably the national drink of the Greeks.

Instant coffee, with which frappe is made, has two very beneficial properties for your body. Few people know this, and if they knew, then they might not be drinking any more coffee, especially in the summer when, no matter how we do it, the cold coffee is more "pulled".

And if you have problems with your cholesterol, then you may need to drink frappe!

Instant coffee frappe and cholesterol

Instant coffee is less caffeinated than French coffee, or Greek coffee, according to Dr. Rob Van Dam, an assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health. Caffeostol is a substance that can increase cholesterol. If you already have high cholesterol or a family history of heart disease, instant coffee is a better choice than French or Greek coffee.

Caffeine

Instant frappe coffee has a lower caffeine content than other types of coffee. This is not true for all brands, but if you read the labels, you can find instant coffee with just 27 mg of caffeine per serving. One serving is usually 1 tsp. A cup of other types of coffee has at least 95 mg of caffeine.
