Tourism receipts rebounded in February, rising 15% year-on-year, after a slight 0,9% decline in January.
According to the results of the Travelers Survey published today by the Statistical Service, tourism revenues in February 2024 amounted to €65,1 million compared to €56,6 million in the corresponding month of the previous year, marking an increase of 15,0, XNUMX%
Besides, for the period January – February 2024, tourism revenues are estimated at €110,3 million compared to €102,2 million in the corresponding period of 2023, with the annual performance showing an increase of 7,9%.
The per capita expenditure also showed an increase in February, which amounted to €521,01 compared to €475,39 in February 2023, marking an increase of 9,6%.
According to the Statistics Office, British tourists (the largest tourist market with 24,6% of all tourists in February 2024) spent an average of €63,37 per day, while Polish tourists (the second largest tourist market during this month with 13,3% of the total) spent an average of €69,87.
Tourists from Israel (third largest market at 10,6%), spent €113,36 per day.
