The Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance announced the implementation of two emergency training plans for employees in hotel units and leisure centers.
According to its announcement, the Ministry of Labor announced the implementation of the Extraordinary Training Plan for Employees in Hotel Units that are on full or partial suspension of work during the period November 2019 - March 2020 and January 2020 - May 2020, for the Mountain Resort Hotels.
Also, the Ministry of Labor announced the implementation of the extraordinary Training Plan for Employees in Leisure Centers located in the free area of Famagusta and on the coastal front of Paphos and Related to the Tourism Industry Businesses located in the free area of Famagusta and are suspended during the period 2019 - March 2020.
According to the competent Ministry, the purpose of the emergency plans is to provide training opportunities to the employees of these hotels and leisure centers, with the ultimate goal of improving their professional skills and consequently the upgrading of the tourism product of Cyprus.
The Hotel Employee Training Plan, which is on full or partial suspension during the period November 2019 - March 2020 and January 2020 - May 2020 (for Mountain Resort Hotels) will be implemented for two periods, ie from November 1, 2019 until March 31, 2020 and from January 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020 (for Mountain Resort hotels), while the Training Plan for Employees in Leisure Centers located in the free area of Famagusta and on the coastal front of Paphos and Related to the Tourism Industry located in the free area of Famagusta will be implemented from November 1, 2019 until March 31, 2020.
It is noted that both projects will be conducted in the Greek language.
