Tourism revenues showed an annual increase of 17% in December.

According to the Statistical Service, based on the results of the Traveler Survey, tourism revenues in December 2024 amounted to €86,9 million, representing an increase of 17,0% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (€74,3 million).

For the period January - December 2024, tourism revenues are estimated at €3.209,4 million compared to €2.990,6 million in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 7,3%.

Per capita tourist expenditure in December 2024 amounts to €653,27 compared to €600,79 in December 2023, marking an increase of 8,7%.

British tourists (the largest tourist market with 23,7% of all tourists in December 2024) spent an average of €64,12 per day, while Israeli tourists (the second largest tourist market in that month with 17,4% of the total) spent an average of €162,55. Tourists from Poland (third largest market with 9,4%), spent €72,17 per day.
