Revenues from tourism in June 2,0 decreased by 2019% on an annual basis, with revenues for the period January - June recording a decrease of 3,1% compared to the corresponding period last year.
Based on the results of the Travelers' Survey of the Statistical Service, revenues from tourism in June 2019 amounted to € 350,4 million compared to € 357,7 million in the corresponding month. This is the second consecutive monthly decrease.
For the period January - June 2019, revenues from tourism are estimated at € 1.003,2 million compared to € 1.034,9 million in the corresponding period of 2018, recording a decrease of 3,1%.
According to Cystat, the per capita tourist expenditure for June 2019 amounted to € 687,53 compared to € 699,88 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 1,8%.
The per capita / per day expenditure of tourists for June 2019 compared to June 2018 also decreased by 1,8% (from € 76,91 to € 75,55). The average length of stay remained constant (9,1 days).
For the period January - June 2019, the per capita expenditure of tourists amounted to € 615,08 compared to € 629,04 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a decrease of 2,2%.
The per capita / per day expenditure of tourists for the period January - June 2019 compared to the period January - June 2018 increased by 0,1% (from € 72,30 to € 72,36).
