Tourism revenues reached €407,9 million in October 2024, showing an increase of 17,7%, compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, reports the Cyprus Statistical Service. The per capita expenditure of tourists in October 2024 amounts to €888,4, while British tourists were the largest tourist market with 36,3% of all tourists in the same period.
According to the Cyprus Statistical Service, based on the results of the Travelers Survey, tourism revenues in October 2024 amounted to €407,9 million. "showing an increase of 17,7%, compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (€346,5 million)".
For the period January-October 2024, tourism revenues are estimated at €2.983,8 million, compared to €2.802,6 million. in the corresponding period of 2023, registering an increase of 6,5%, it is reported.
It is added that the per capita expenditure of tourists in October 2024 amounts to €888,47 compared to €812,95 in October 2023, marking an increase of 9,3%.
According to the data of the Statistical Service, in October this year 459.106 tourist arrivals were recorded, with an average length of stay of 8,4 days, with the per capita expenditure per day amounting to €105,77.
British tourists, who, according to the Statistics Office, are the largest tourist market with 36,3% of all tourists in October 2024, spent an average of €114,99 per day, while Polish tourists – the second largest tourist purchase during the given month with 8,1% of the total – they spent an average of €85,41.
It is added that tourists from Germany (third largest market with 7,6%), spent €109,22 per day.
