Cyprus remains highly popular with Polish tourists, while in 2024 a historic record of tourist arrivals from the country was recorded with over 337 thousand arrivals, stated the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Costas Koumis, during the events presenting Cyprus tourism in the cities of Krakow, Poznan and Warsaw, Poland, during the period 7-11 April 2025.
According to a statement by the Deputy Ministry, Mr. Koumis said that "the Polish market has evolved into a very important market for our country's tourism and in 2024, as is known, a record performance was achieved by this particular market, with total arrivals amounting to 337 thousand, equivalent to 8,3% of all visitors to our country."
He added that "this is a market in which we have literally invested as the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and we continue to invest, judging that it is a market that could provide solutions, when as a tourist destination we lost significant markets due to geopolitical developments, and its course vindicates us."
As the Deputy Minister said, "it is remarkable that this particular market is recording an increase of 80% over a two-year horizon, since from 186 thousand arrivals in 2022 we reached 337 thousand in 2024."
He added that it is also important that "the upward trend continues this year, with the statistical measurements of this market so far recording an increase of around 10%."
According to the announcement, "these events were organized by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism with the participation of 23 hotel businesses, travel agencies and Cyprus tourism bodies." Within the framework of the events, Cypriot tourism partners had the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with over 150 Polish tourist agents and tour operators.
