Yesterday at around 9:20 pm, a 22-year-old man was pulled from the swimming pool of an apartment complex in the Famagusta District. An ambulance was called to the scene, which picked up the 22-year-old and transported him to the Emergency Department of the Famagusta General Hospital, where the doctor on duty certified his death.
The official autopsy on the body was performed today by the forensic pathologist Dr. Nikolas Charalambous, according to whom the 22-year-old's death was due to drowning in water pending laboratory tests.
The Paralimni Police Station continues the examinations.
