Volkswagen XL1 (photos) in production

The "super green" XL1 is going to be put into production, as Volkswagen officially announced.

With an average consumption of less than 1 liter of oil per 100 km (0,9 lt / 100 km), the XL1 is the most efficient car in the world (excluding electric, of course).

Thanks to its plug-in hybrid system, the highly aerodynamic and light two-seater model can be driven exclusively by electricity for distances up to 50 km.

The official premiere of the VW XL1 production will take place in Geneva and its construction will take place in Germany.
