Thousands of YouTube videos that look like popular children's TV series contain inappropriate content that is inappropriate for children.

This is stated in a report by the British news network BBC. From the previews of these videos, one assumes that this is a regular animated episode.

However, immediately after pressing the virtual "play" button, the story takes a turn, and instead of the normal video, a modified one appears, which contains violent scenes unsuitable for children.

According to the BBC, there are thousands of videos on YouTube that contain popular cartoon characters, but they are not intended for minors. Some of them are either parodies of the real series or are intended exclusively for adults.

YouTube offers two ways to prevent users from viewing inappropriate content. Parents can either download the Kids Kids app, or enable the Restricted Mode at the bottom of the YouTube pages. This feature restricts content marked by users of the service. However, YouTube warns that "no filter is 100% accurate".
