Individual apple pie with leaf

Ingredients

• 2 apples, peeled
• 1/3 cup teaspoon raw sugar, extra for garnish
• 2 puff pastry sheets

Implementation

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.

Cut the apples in four and place them in a saucepan with a little water.

Cover and cook over medium heat for 4 minutes or until slightly softened.

Remove from the heat and mix with the sugar. Set aside to cool.

Cut each puff pastry sheet in half and then each half into three equal rectangles.

Brush the outline of a rectangle with water and fill with a spoonful of the apple mixture.

Take another rectangular puff pastry sheet and make some slits in it, being careful not to cut it lengthwise. Place this piece on top of the apple, pressing the two pieces of dough to the edges so that they close like an envelope.

Repeat with the remaining ingredients, place them in a pan with oil paste and sprinkle with extra sugar.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the leaf swells and turns brown.
