Ingredients for 4 people
- Or a kilo of lean ground beef, passed through the machine once
- 1 kg of fresh tomatoes in the grater or 2 cans of crushed
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic chopped
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch of sugar (only if you use fresh tomatoes)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 ½ chopped teaspoon cumin
- Salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 1 pack of wholemeal pasta pens
Implementation
- Heat the minced meat, onion, garlic and water in a deep pan over medium to high heat, stirring constantly to prevent the minced meat from clumping.
- Continue cooking the minced meat until all the liquid is saved. Then add the olive oil and sauté the minced meat for another 3 minutes.
- Add the tomato and sugar and as soon as the sauce boils, add the salt.
- Cover the pan halfway with a lid and simmer the minced meat for about 45 minutes. In the middle of the year, add all the other ingredients.
- At the same time, boil the penne in salted water for 7 minutes. Serve with bolognese sauce.
