Chimichangas with minced meat

Ingredients for 4 people

Implementation

  • 450 gr. ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic, melted
  • 3/4 cup spicy tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 thin tortillas
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  1. Preheat the oven to 200o. Fry the onion and garlic with the minced meat in a pan.
  2. Add the tomato sauce, cumin, oregano and salt.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes or until liquids evaporate.
  4. Butter one side of the tortilla and place 1/3 of the tomato and minced meat mixture on the other.
  5. Close the pie and seal the edges.
  6. Put the pies in a pan lined with non-stick paper and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve garnished with yogurt, guacamole and extra spicy tomato sauce.
