Ingredients:
For the round:
- 1 kg boneless chicken
- 1 large onion grated
- 1 large grated ripe tomato
- Grate and juice of 1 lemon
- 2 - 4 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 sk. grated garlic
- 2 wp mustard
- 2 tbsp. sweet paprika
- 2 tbsp. thyme
- 2 tbsp. oregano
- 1 tbsp. Cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp. cumin
- 1 kg coriander
- Salt
- Pepper
For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 wp mustard
- 1 tc. honey
- 1 strong pinch of sweet paprika
- Lemon juice
- Salt
- Pepper
For serving:
- Tzatziki
- Greek or Cypriot pies
- Onion cut into thin slices
- Tomatoes cut into slices
- Fried potatoes
Execution method:
For the round:
- Cut the chicken pieces into large thin slices and put them in a bowl.
- Sprinkle with spices, herbs, add mustard, olive oil and lemon and mix well.
- Let the meat marinate for at least 12 hours in the refrigerator.
- Next, place the slices of meat on a grill in turn and take wooden or metal skewers in 3-4 places to hold the meat.
- Place the grill in a pan so that the meat fats drip and add 1 glass of water to the pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour
- Remove the meat from the oven and cut it into very thin pieces and serve.
For the sauce:
- In a bowl add all the ingredients and mix well with a spoon until the mixture is homogeneous.
