Pumpkin cake from Germany

Ingredients for 6 people

  • 500 grams of flour
  • 600 grams of pumpkin
  • 400 grams of sugar
  • 200 grams of walnuts
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 vanilla
  • 200 ml oil
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • . Teaspoon
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • butter
  • powdered sugar

Implementation

  1. Beat the pumpkin in the blender. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks and beat the egg whites on a plate until they become a meringue.
  2. Then put the egg yolks, 1 vanilla, 400 grams of sugar, 200 ml of oil and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in the bowl of the mixer.
  3. Beat the ingredients well. Immediately after, add the grated pumpkin to our mixture. Put in a bowl 500 grams of flour, 1 sachet of baking powder, 200 grams of walnuts (after we grind them) and ½ a teaspoon of salt.
  4. Mix well and then add them to the mixture and beat in the mixer. Finally add the meringue and mix with a ladle. Grease a pan with butter. Pour the mixture inside.
  5. Preheat the oven. Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 60 minutes.
