Homemade apple pie

Ingredients

• 1 kg of apples
• 800 grams of sugar
• 2 cups (500 ml) water
• 1 large or 2 smaller cinnamon sticks
• 10 cloves pegs tied in gauze
• juice of a lemon

Implementation

1. Wash and clean the apples.
2. Cut them into quarters or eighths depending on their size and put the pieces in a bowl of water in which you have squeezed half a lemon and dissolved the salt.
3. Then drain the apples and put them in the pot along with the sugar, cinnamon and water.
4. Boil at high temperature for 10 minutes. Then lower the heat to medium and continue cooking for another 20-25 minutes, until the apples are soft.
5. Remove from the heat, remove the cinnamon and cloves and mash the apples with the syrup with a hand blender.
6. Boil the jam again after putting the cinnamon and cloves in the pot again and add the lemon juice.
7. Boil until it sets while stirring constantly, as at this stage it catches easily.
8. Try tying. Allow to cool from the boil and serve in hot sterilized jars.
